Knights-Vikes Classic: Eagles Seek Second Consecutive Championship

Play begins tomorrow in the fifth annual "Knights-Vikes" Classic at both Bluevale CI and Waterloo CI high schools in Waterloo.

The defending champions, the St. Mary's Eagles from Kitchener, are back to try to take home a second consecutive title.

Standing in the way of them will be a competitive field that includes 10 CWOSSA teams --- most notably four currently undefeated WCSSAA schools, the Grand River Renegades, Forest Heights Trojans, WCI Vikings and Bluevale Knights.

Friday's schedule (first round) is as follows:

At Bluevale
12:30pm - Bluevale vs. Sudbury Lockerby
2:00pm - Grand River vs. St. David
3:30pm - SJAM (Waterloo) vs. Orchard Park (Stoney Crk)
5:00pm - Forest Heights vs. Rockway

At WCI
12:30pm - WCI vs. St. Michael CSS (Bolton)
2:00pm - Stratford St. Mike's vs. SJAM (Hamilton)
3:30pm - Huron Heights vs. St. James (Guelph)
5:00pm - St. Mary's (K) vs. Stratford Central
