Like the current state of the game, the future of CWOSSA girls basketball is bright as well.
The U14 TIDP (Talent Identification & Development Program) squad were the only undefeated team at the Regional Camp hosted by Georgian College in Barrie last week, July 21st - 24th.
Four of the girls are heading into grade nine, while eight others are only entering grade eight.
Definitely some names to keep an eye on for the future here:
Grade 9's (2013-14)
Lauren Snider (Assumption/Brantford)
Hannah McIntosh (Lourdes/Guelph)
Victoria Giguere (WCI/Waterloo)

New CWOSSA Website, Classifications
The "new and improved" CWOSSA.ca website is now live, and features a pretty "user friendly" interface.
Meanwhile, we can pass along the information for the 2013-14 school year, in terms of changes to classifications as well.
In "AA" CWOSSA, both Pauline Johnson (Brantford) and Southwood SS (Cambridge) will drop down to that classification; both were previously "AAA" schools.
In "AAA" CWOSSA, three schools that were previously "AAAA" have dropped down to that classification. They include St. John's (Brantford), Centre Wellington (Fergus) and Waterloo-Oxford (Baden).
The rest of "AAAA" will stay the same, while the "A" division also sees no changes.
Judging by the information posted on the CWOSSA website, "A" will remain a 4-team CWOSSA tournament going forward, while "AAAA" will now be down to a 4-team affair as well (2 WCSSAA schools, D8, plus winner of qualifier between Assumption and D10 #1). "AA" and "AAA" will both be 6-team tournaments.
Burnatowski, FISU Team In Semifinals
Murphy Burnatowski and the Canada FISU team are into the semifinals of the FISU Games in Russia, after compiling a perfect 6-0 record to this point in the competition.
The team has posted wins over the United States (94-85) and Australia (92-83) and beat the UAE by a massive 137-43 score.
Leading the way for the Canadian team have been Brady Heslip (Baylor), Dwight Powell (Stanford) and Melvin Ejim (Iowa State).
Burnatowski has seen action in all games to this point, and is averaging 4.8 PPG and 2.8 RPG.
