D8 Monday: St. Mary's Stays Perfect, SBCSS Improves Playoff Chances

The St. Mary's Eagles defeated the Resurrection Phoenix by a 56-41 final last night, solidifying their hold on first place in the D8 league, as well as their hold on the lone "AAAA" CWOSSA berth for the district.

Kailtyn Schneck had a game-high 18 points for SMHS, while Shelby Dixon contributed 7 in the win.  For Rez, Janelle Santi (12) and Jaqui Rodrigues (8) led the way.

The other D8 game on Monday was a very-low scoring affair, with only 32 combined points.  The St. Benedict Saints were able to get back into the playoff hunt with a 26-6 win over Rockway.  Alysha Grosz had 10 for the Saints, while Alex Hood had 4 of Rockway's 6 points.
