Finoro, Crusaders Pick Up Win At "AA" OFSAA

The Lourdes Crusaders finished up their opening day at the OFSAA "AA" championships in North Bay with a dominating 58-31 victory over the #17 seed, Thunder Bay's Superior C & VS.

Mike Finoro poured in 25 points to lead the Crusaders to the victory.  The Crusaders were up 10 at halftime, but a dominant second half helped them win this one going away.

Lourdes now will play a very tough game tomorrow morning against the #2 seed, St. Basil from Sault Ste. Marie.  Local fans may remember them from their participation in the St. Benedict's 32-team tournament, where they lost an overtime game in the quarterfinals to Kitchener Resurrection.

St. Basil's won their opener this morning, 78-70, over #11 Woodbridge College.
