Junior: WCI Gets Past West Hill in Rimrocker Opener

The WCI Vikings got past West Hill (Toronto) 62-55 in their opening game at the Junior Rimrocker Tournament in Peel Region this evening.

Ivan Bilandzic poured in 23 to lead WCI, who will face a much stiffer task tomorrow in their two games against Vaughan SS (arguably one of the top teams in the province) and the host Campion Bears (one of the top 2-3 teams in Peel).  Still, props to the Vikes for a win against a "name brand" opponent.

Interestingly enough, the Vikes might have been a bit tired after --- just hours earlier --- defeating Glenview Park in a league game 53-28.  They then drove to Brampton, and suited up for their 8:00 (tip time) game.

In the win over Glenview, Sulaxsan Joseph netted 11 and Bilandzic had 10 for WCI.
