D8 Senior play continues today, with a pair of games on the docket. Both 5pm starts feature an undefeated team going up against a team looking for its first D8 win. Here's a look:
St. Mary's (1-0) at St. Benedict (0-1)
My Pick: SMHS by 15
Once they get to full strength, the Saints "should" be competitive in the D8 league. In a league where you play everyone at least twice (possibly 3x if you include playoff matchups), teams mustn't overlook SBCSS based upon these early-season results.
Mons. Doyle (0-2) at Resurrection (2-0)
My Pick: RCSS by 32
The Phoenix shouldn't have much of a problem dispatching the MDCSS Mustangs at home.
D4, BAA Set To Tip Today
A couple of other CWOSSA-area leagues are set to tip today --- the D4 senior circuit has two games today (Wellington Hts. @ Centre Dufferin; Norwell @ Erin) while the BAA South Division starts up today as well, also with two games (Saugeen @ Walkerton; Sacred Heart @ John Diefenbaker).
One exhibition BAA game was played over the weekend, with St. Mary's (Owen Sound) grade 11 Katie Langdon pouring in 36 points in a dominant 43-22 win over Walkerton DSS.
