Senior Girls: SJC Eagles Drop Close One in Hamilton

The #1-CWOSSA ranked St. John's Green Eagles of Brantford had another successful weekend, going 2-1 at the St. Thomas More tournament in Hamilton.

In pool play, the Eagles went 2-0 with victories over Hamilton Brebeuf (66-37) and Oakville Loyola.

In the semifinals, the Eagles were nipped by hosts St. Thomas More, 43-41.  SJC had defeated STM at a tournament earlier this year.

St. Thomas More upset 5-time defending OFSAA champion St. Mary's (Hamilton) by the same score, 43-41, in the tournament's championship final.
