CWOSSA's OFSAA Consolation Champions

Again, as I catch up on a few things from when I was away, congrats to the 3 CWOSSA teams that captured consolation championships at the recent OFSAA championships --- Walkerton (A), Bishop Mac (AA), and St. James (AAA).

Bishop Mac's win was perhaps the most impressive of the three given that they were without scoring star Jesse Kendall for the final two games with his high ankle sprain.  Bishop Mac only had 6 members of their usual roster --- four of whom were in grade 10 (Chris Poloniato, Evan Hosker, Jake Chaput and junior call-up Greg MacEachern).

The Celtics topped Korah of SSM (who defeated Kitchener Cameron Heights earlier this year) with their 7-member squad in the consolation final.

We would be remiss not to mention St. Mary's tremendous consolation run to the AAAA consolation final --- as well as the fact that their (close) losses in their first two games were to the two teams that ended up playing for the OFSAA championship!
