Another year, another Bishop Macdonell CWOSSA "AA" senior title.
The Celtics took the school's 8th title in the past 10 years on Friday, posting a 63-36 victory over Pauline Johnson (Brantford) in the championship final.
As has become the norm, the "AA" CWOSSA powerhouse had little difficulty in their championship run. The Celts posted an average margin of victory of 27 points per contest, and none of their 4 opponents were able to crack the 40 point barrier.
The homecourt OSCVI Falcons did give them a bit of a run in the semifinal, closing to within single-digits and under 4:00 to go, before Bishop Mac closed on a 9-2 run to end the contest.
