Niagara lost 70-54, with Van Leeuwen starting and scoring 6 points and adding 3 assists - but that was really inconsequential in the grand scheme of things considering what came next.
The Purple Eagles departed Pittsburgh around 10pm on Monday evening, beginning the 3hr45 minute trip back to Niagara Falls, NY. However, three hours into that journey, the team bus hit the massive winter storm in the Buffalo suburbs on the I-90 and got stuck near Blasdell, NY (a couple of miles from the Buffalo Bills' Ralph Wilson Stadium, to give a point of reference):

After getting stuck around 2am, the Purple Eagles waited.....and waited. Eventually, #NUWBBStrandedOnBus started trending on Twitter:

However, the hours kept passing with no sign of an imminent rescue:

Thankfully, early this morning (going on 30ish hours), there was a happy ending to the ordeal, with the team being rescued and safe:
WE HAVE BEEN RESCUED!!!!!!!
