Tuesday's junior action saw many "AAAA" vs. "AAA" match-ups and, unfortunately for fans of close games, there wasn't too much to be excited about.
In fact, of the 6 games in that category (the Galt vs. Bluevale game has not yet been reported - update - I can now confirm GCI won handily), AAAA schools won by an average of about 35 points per contest.
Here's how things shook down:
Cameron Heights 72, Glenview Park 15
Korbil Gany (14), Ben Allen (10) and Romeo Johnson (10) were all in double figures as the Gaels rolled to victory and essentially locked up third place overall (they can officially clinch it with a win over WODSS on Thursday). Josh Sheridan had 5 and Tyler Bell 4 for Glenview.
Eastwood 60, Huron Heights 44
In arguably the best-looking game on paper going into Tuesday, the ECI Rebels had limited trouble dispatching the Huron Heights Huskies at home. Izzy Nemeth poured in 20, while Tre Nicholson added 14 for the Rebs; Arshid Babury topped Huron with 19 and Ahmed Radi added 14.
Forest Heights 49, Preston 26
Jack Taylor netted 17 points as the Trojans moved a step closer to hosting a first-round playoff game. Tanner Derjugin led Preston with 9.
KCI 43, WODSS 34
The Raiders moved into position to seize a playoff berth with a home victory on Tuesday. Stefan Simic had 19 and Ben Lomotey 8 for KCI; Nick Penner paced the Crusaders with a 14-point effort while Kale Bryant added 6.
Grand River 74, Elmira 24
Murtada Khamis put home 13 and David Bajic added 11 as the Rens rolled over EDSS to set up a showdown with WCI for first place on Thursday. Callum Johnson netted 6 for the Lancers.
WCI 57, Jacob Hespeler 27
Speaking of the Vikes, they moved to 10-1 with an easy win over the Hespeler Hawks. Another balanced scoring effort meant Nick Johnny was the lone Vike in double figures with (11), while Ivan Bilandzic added 8. Matt Quiring and Shawn Thompson had 6 each for JHSS.
SJAM 63, Southwood 30
Brett Parrott had a WCSSAA-high 26 points on the day as SJAM took down the Southwood Sabres. Nedim Hodzic added 13 for the 'Landers, while Steve Warner (9) and Tristan Peacock (6) led SSS.

As for Thursday.....
Obviously the "big game" that everyone wants to see features WCI and Grand River. The winner takes first overall, while the loser will finish 2nd.
Cameron Heights should finish 3rd with a win over WODSS (1-10).
Galt (against Southwood) and Eastwood (against Forest Heights) are prohibitive favourites in those games, and I expect those teams to finish 4th and 5th respectively. I'm assuming that Galt defeated Bluevale yesterday, although we'll have to confirm that.
The "most intriguing" race for the middle spots in the standings features a key game on Thursday, with HHHS (7-4) against Preston (6-5). I like the Huskies at home there, and expect them to finish 6th.
Assuming FHCI and Preston lose, and Elmira beats JHSS (2-9), we'd have a three-way tie for 8th. In that instance, Forest Heights would take 8th with the +/- over Preston and Elmira (all three teams are 1-1 against each other). Preston would then take 9th based upon their head-to-head win against Elmira, while the Lancers would be 10th.
Of course, those are some big assumptions there.
KCI looks to finish 11th with a win against winless Glenview, while Southwood is in with a win against Galt OR a Jacob Hespeler loss. JHSS does hold the head-to-head tiebreak on SSS if they can get past Elmira.
