WCI's Klein Taking 3 Official NCAA D1 Visits in 3 Weeks

One of the key returnees on WCI's senior girls team, 6'2" F Alex Klein, is taking her 2nd of 3 official NCAA visits this weekend when she visits the campus of Stetson University, an NCAA D-1 school located in DeLand, Florida (a town located between Daytona Beach and Orlando on I-4).

Interestingly enough, if she chose to sign with Stetson, she wouldn't be the first-ever CWOSSA player to suit up for the Hatters as Alex Urosevic (Kitchener St. Jerome's '88) played at the school before finishing up his degree (and playing for) the University of Waterloo.

Stetson is a member of the Atlantic Sun conference.

Klein's recruitment has been heating up as she also went on an official visit last week to Iona College (New Rochelle, NY), another D-1 school that participates in the MAAC conference.

Next week, she'll be off to Bryant University (Smithfield, RI) which participates in the Northeast Conference (NEC).

Klein's busy schedule, though, means that she may be unavailable for some of WCI's early season tournament games.  The Vikes will be participating at the University of Western Ontario's "Purple & White" tournament this weekend; Klein will be playing in Friday's games but will be unavailable on Saturday.
