The Rockway Flames were eliminated from medal contention on Tuesday afternoon at the OFSAA "A" championship in North Bay; the 12th-seeded Kitchener school dropped a 73-39 decision to the #5 seed, the Elliot Lake Atoms.Michael Born had 9 to lead Rockway, while Jacob Reusser and Bill Russell (no relation to the former Celtics great) had 6 each.
With the second-round loss, Rockway was moved to the consolation bracket where they were able to pick up an evening win against #13 ES-Algonquin by a 60-58 final.
Born again led the way, with 18 points, while Tyler Schwartzentruber netted 11.
Rockway is currently playing a consolation bracket semifinal (9am) against #9 seed, Rideau DHS.
