It was a stunning finish yesterday afternoon at Cameron Heights, as the Senior Gaels rallied from -- get this -- an 11 point deficit with about 3:00 to go -- as they defeated the Grand River Renegades by a 54-53 final at home.
Nina Farkic was on fire again, coming through with her second 30+ point game of the early season. She put home 33 points in yesterday's win, one off her season best of 34 (vs. EDSS in the opener). Katrina Stickel added 8 for Cameron, while Nyamuoch Teny (19) and Tara DeBoer (16) were the leaders for Grand River.
Teny had a deep three-pointer just rim out at the buzzer, off a baseline out of bounds play.

WCI 56, Eastwood 22
Emma Cheeseman had 11 and Sarah Ens 10 as the Vikings took care of ECI at home. Danielle Gardiner led the Rebs with 8.
Glenview Park 37, Forest Heights 35
These two fought to the end, with Glenview being the team picking up their first win. Chudear Oyual had 15 in the win for GPSS; Sona Khalifeh had 14 for the Trojans.
SJAM 59, Huron Hts. 24
No trouble for the 'Landers here, as their offense kept rolling on Thursday. Joanna Bamberger led the way with 19, while Griffin Lack-Shane added 15. Sarah Bidinosti and Jamila Beckford had 8 each for Huron.
Galt 49, KCI 44
The Ghosts topped the Raiders on the road, with Emma Buck's 18-point effort leading the charge. Thea Taylor had 19 and Alia Hazineh 15 for KCI.
