cwossabasketball.com's WCSSAA & D10 Players of the Week

A little late with these, but here goes:

WCSSAA Senior: Eric Alderice, Elmira & Stefan Cvrkalj, Bluevale

Alderice averaged 28.5 PPG during two league games (both wins) last week. He poured in 36 huge points against Glenview Park to allow the Lancers to clinch a playoff spot.

Meanwhile, Cvrkalj enabled the Knights to finish the regular season with a perfect 12-0 record. He averaged 22.5 PPG last week --- he scored 19 against GRCI and finished his regular season with a 26 point outing at FHCI. Cvrkalj is looking to lead the Knights to their first ever CWOSSA senior title (Bluevale was junior CWOSSA champs in 1989).

WCSSAA Junior: Terel Christian, Eastwood

Tough vote in the junior ranks but I'll give the nod to ECI's Terel Christian who averaged 17.5 PPG during league games last week. More importantly, he led ECI to two wins, including Thursday's win at SJAM which enabled the Rebels to vault to 5th place overall in the WCSSAA standings.

D10 Junior: Aleks Kaludjerovic & Ed Gray, Centennial

Only one league game in the D10 last week, so the nod has to go to Kaludjerovic & Gray from CCVI who combined for 27 of the Spartans' 45 points in a thrilling 45-41 victory over St. James. The win enabled Centennial to leapfrog the Lions for 3rd place in the league.

D10 Senior: Jay Francis, Centennial

Francis had 40 points in 2 games (24 - St. James, 16 - GCVI) to enable the Spartans to finish the D10 season with an undefeated record. The 24 points was a season high during league play for Francis.
