Not so fast Bluevale.
The CCVI Spartans knocked off Bluevale 42-39 in the opening pool game of CWOSSA AAAA at Resurrection.
Bluevale's Stefan Cvrkalj missed a contested three-pointer at the buzzer that would have tied it.
CCVI's Robert House led Centennial with 14 points. Jay Francis (9), Serge Khayipangi (8), Adrian Varilla (6), Shawn Mason (4) and Andrew Ellis (1) were the others on the scoresheet.
Cvrkalj led BCI with 15. Perrin Smith had an excellent game off the bench with 13 points (3 threes). Andrew Beney was held in check (4 points), while Karsten Beney (3), Adam Zack (2) and Drew Ballak (2) were the other Bluevale scorers.
Bluevale now plays a "must-win" game against Resurrection this evening (7:30pm). Lose that and they would be eliminated from CWOSSA.
