Senior A CWOSSA: Waterford Wins, Heads Back to OFSAA

The Waterford Wolves have repeated as senior "A" CWOSSA Champions.

The Wolves knocked off Rockway Mennonite from Kitchener 63-48 in their semifinal, and then knocked down 9 threes in the championship game to defeat the host school, Walkerton DSS.

In the semifinal, Mike Couperus had 20 points and Aaron Hall added 13.

Against WDSS, the Wolves' balanced attack was led by Gary Hill-Stone who had 19 while Couperus and Paul Malcolm had 17 each.

"I'm speechless. I'm humbled -- these boys were able to pull it off ," head coach Dan Avey told the
Simcoe Reformer.

"Every game but two this season we've been able to win by 10 or more points. To see the composure and growth of these young men throughout the year, it's very humbling."

Waterford has advanced to the "A" OFSAA Championships in Sturgeon Falls that start up in about ten days' time.

For more on the wins, please see Jacob Robinson's article in the Simcoe Reformer.
