The Resurrection Phoenix have now won 12 consecutive league and playoff games, which is now the second longest active streak in the CWOSSA region (behind St. John's).
The Phoenix cruised to a 36-18 win over St. David in their season finale last week, with Krissia Vasquez scoring 15 points to pace the winners.
This capped a 10-0 regular season where Resurrection won their games by an average margin of 30 points per contest.
The top two teams in the D8 senior standings earned first-round byes and will host semifinal games on Wednesday.
Today's quarterfinals are as follows:
(B2) Mons. Doyle at (A3) St. Mary's --> winner plays at #2 SBCSS
(B1) PRDG at (A4) St. David --> winner plays at #1 Resurrection

The dream season continues for the Woodland Cavaliers, who finished at 10-0 and three games clear of their second place opponent.
All six teams qualify for the playoffs, which commence this afternoon with the quarterfinal round.
