The Resurrection Senior Phoenix were eliminated at the Scarborough Shootout after falling to Whitby's Anderson CVI by a 93-80 final.
The Phoenix had the game tied at 70-70 after being down by as many as 16 points, but ran out of gas down the stretch.
Earlier, Anderson defeated Toronto's West Hill 83-72 to finish first in their pool and earn a date with the Phoenix (who were 2nd to Notre Dame Ajax in their pool).

....Anderson CVI went on to win the tournament over Laurier in the final. They are arguably one of the better "AAA" teams in the province.
