The Resurrection Senior Phoenix have advanced to the playoff round at the Hoopdome Shootout in Scarborough.
The Phoenix came close to knocking off Notre Dame HS out of Ajax, falling 57-49 in the first game. Notre Dame was the #9 seed at AAAA OFSAA last year and has defeated Notre Dame (Brampton) this year --- so a good effort by the Phoenix there against a quality opponent.
Resurrection defeated GW Williams (Aurora) 60-45 in their second game.
Notre Dame also beat GW Williams 59-44 to finish atop Pool "D".
As the second place finishers, Rez will now advance to the playoff round of 16 this evening against either Anderson CVI or Toronto's West Hill.
