Almost a shocker last night in D10 senior, as I was advised via Twitter that Centennial (9-1) barely held off Orangeville (2-7) in a 61-60 thriller at CCVI yesterday afternoon.
Scoring details weren't yet immediately available, but certainly could have shaken up the D10 senior standings if that result went the other way.
The other game in senior saw Bishop Mac win a battle of "AA" schools by a 76-48 count over Lourdes. Mitchell Wood poured in 29 points in the win, while Jesse Kendall added 15 more for BMAC. Max Raab (13) and Evan McLaughlin (11) were both in double figures for Lourdes.
On the junior side, Craig Valeriote poured in 27 points for Lourdes but it wasn't enough as OLOL dropped a 57-44 decision to Bishop Mac. Lucas Wood had 18 and Evan Hosker 15 for the Celtics in the win.
Centennial had limited difficulty with winless Orangeville, cruising to a 65-41 win. Chris Poloniato led the balanced CCVI attack with 11, while Colton Shantz notched 10. Dave Anderson had 9 and Connor Davis 7 to lead the Bears.
