D10: Tuesday Results

Well, I certainly jinxed myself by talking about my perfect Thursday in D10 play.  Stumbled to a 2-2 picks record with both of the "toss-up games" going in the other direction.  Congrats to the Ross Royals (over St. James) and the Lourdes Crusaders (edging GCVI) on the wins.

Here are the recaps:

Senior
Centennial 56, Orangeville 8
My Pick:  CCVI by 37
Centennial moved to 3-0 with an easy win on the road yesterday.  Emma Cain had 16 points to lead the way for the Spartans, while Maddie Loder scored 4 for the Bears.

Bishop Mac 50, CWDHS 8
My Pick:  BMAC by 38
No surprise here as the Celtics are also 3-0 with a win in Fergus.  Johanna de Jong (10) and Tianna Sullivan (8) paced a balanced Bishop Mac scoresheet, while Maddie Fennell had 4 for the Falcons.

JF Ross 38, St. James 26
My Pick:  STJ by 6
The Royals locked down on defense and defeated the Lions on Tuesday, with Teddi Taran providing a big scoring boost (14 points).  Mya Leacock added 8 for JFR, while Stephanie Giovinazzo (8) and Meghan Santi (7) paced the Lions.

Lourdes 31, GCVI 27
My Pick:  GCVI by 7
A low-scoring affair here, with the Crusaders edging the Gaels for the victory.  Aida Raab had 12 and Rainey Psenicka 8 for Lourdes, while Sydney Wilson (9) and Cally Strongman (8) were the top Gaels.

D10 Senior Standings

T3.  Lourdes 2-1
T5.  St. James 1-2

T7.  CWDHS 0-3

Junior
JF Ross 50, St. James 36
Impressive performance by Ross junior Catie Terrey, who scored 23 points in helping aid JF Ross to the win.  Alessia Bolzon had 10 more for JFR, while Sophia Lago (9) and Kate Glaab (8) paced the scoring for St. James.

Centennial 44, Orangeville 12
Scoring details weren't immediately available from source, but it was a comfortable win for the Spartans as they stayed undefeated on the season.

Bishop Mac 36, CWDHS 8
Tian Wood scored 13 and Sophia Nash added 9 as the Celtics also moved to 3-0 on the campaign.  Natalie Franchetto had 6 of the Falcons' 8 points.

Lourdes 44, GCVI 21
Three Crusaders were in double figures as Lourdes won their second in a row, this one in convincing fashion over the GCVI Gaels.
