D10 Wednesday: Gaels Upset Spartans For First Win

The GCVI Gaels picked up their first win of the D10 senior season last night, nipping the Centennial Spartans by a 56-55 final at home.

The Spartans had won the earlier matchup by a 57-44 score, but the Gaels received strong play yesterday by Tyler Beaton (20), Spencer Swan (14) and David Wesley-James (10) in the win.

Harnoor Samra (17) and Mark Shinouda (13) led the way for Centennial.

I also heard that the Orangeville seniors forfeited their game against Bishop Mac on Thursday, but that's still unconfirmed at the time of this post.

There was one junior game on Tuesday as well, with Bishop Mac scoring a 50-46 win over Orangeville thanks to a 22 point effort from Jack Morris.
