The JF Ross Royals took home the Barrie Central Hoopfest title for the third time in the tournament's history over the weekend, getting a three-pointer in the dying seconds to take out LaSalle SS (Sudbury) 56-55 in the championship game.
Earlier in the tournament, the Royals defeated Timmins CVI 73-49, and Barrie Eastview (in blowout fashion by about 50).
The Royals are currently ranked #3 in the latest CWOSSA rankings and are the lone undefeated team (6-0) in the D10 senior circuit.
