The draw for the annual "Resurrection Phoenix/Luke Santi Memorial" junior boys Basketball Tournament has been announced.
This is the third year that the tournament has had it's current name after being renamed in memory of Luke Santi, a Resurrection CSS player who passed away from cancer at the age of 16 following the 2006-07 junior boys season.
This year again promises to be a very competitive tournament. Five teams are entering the tournament with undefeated records in league play.
The tournament format is such that first round games are "seeding" games --- kind of similar to what you see at OFSAA. In other words, first round winners play first round losers in the second round. Refer to the draw for further details.
First Round Matchups (Friday, February 12th):
Resurrection vs. Bishop Reding (Milton) - 8:30am
Bishop Macdonell (Guelph) vs. St. Patrick's (Sarnia) - 10:00am
St. Christopher (Sarnia) vs. St. Mike's (Stratford) - 11:30am
Resurection/Bishop Reding vs. Bishop Mac/St. Pat's - 1:00pm (2nd round game)
Lourdes (Guelph) vs. Holy Trinity (Oakville) - 2:30pm
