The Waterford DHS Wolves (my current #1 "A" school) lost in the final of the Woodstock CI tournament this weekend to the 'host' WCI Red Devils, and not the 'other' WCI, our local Vikings as I had initially reported.
Waterford's scores from the tournament were as follows:
Waterford 47, Huron Park (Woodstock) 36
WDHS: Mike Couperus 15
Waterford 62, E-S Gabriel Dumont (London) 31
WDHS: Mike Couperus 30
Woodstock CI 58, Waterford 57
WDHS: Mike Couperus 15
The loss was the first on the year for WDHS, who are now 11-1 on the year. They will play Port Dover in league play before participating in the Holy Trinity (Simcoe) tournament this weekend.
....FYI, Woodstock CI is a "top 10" team in the London, Sarnia and surrounding area as per the London Free Press' power rankings:
