The nice thing about this tournament is that it caters exclusively to CWOSSA teams, giving teams an early indication of who the "teams to beat" might be. 8 of the 10 teams from my preseason junior CWOSSA "top 10" ranking will be participating.
In fact, success at this tournament usually means "good things" in the future. For example, last year's final featured Grand River (WCSSAA champions 2012) and St. Mary's, who were without Mike Blumel at the time (CWOSSA champions 2012).
A "late subtraction" from the draw means that SJAM will be fielding two teams in the tournament. Here's a look at this year's 16-team draw (first round) ---- first round winners will play first round losers in the "OFSAA formatted" draw.
