As announced on the BAA website, the BAA Executive has delayed the start of the BAA winter sports season until the first week of January, 2013.
As an FYI, that announcement was made prior to Monday's OSSTF announcement that teachers would pull out of extracurricular activities effective December 10th.
"By delaying until January, it is hoped that more schools will be able to participate," the release states.
Certain schools had difficulty fielding teams in the fall season; the BAA North Division had just 3 teams (OSCVI, St. Mary's and Peninsula Shores) participating in Junior and Senior Girls' Basketball.
