The SJAM Highlanders (CWOSSA #2) flexed their muscle with some impressive weekend results at the St. David CSS "Timmy Rose Memorial" Tournament.
The Landers went 4-0 in the four team round-robin, with their closest game being a 69-56 win against Resurrection CSS. Forward Nedim Hodzic had a most impressive stat-line in that game, going off for 33 points and 19 rebounds. Joe Hunter had 12 for Rez in the loss.
Resurrection and St. David (playing without James McBride) both posted 2-2 records. The Phoenix got past the Celtics in the finale of the tournament 67-57 (Ali Rashid, 23 points).
Guelph schools St. James and Centennial both posted 1-3 records.
