BAA: Wednesday Action

BAA South:  Senior

Sacred Heart (Walkerton) 43, Walkerton DHS 37
In the battle of Walkerton (round two), the Crusaders took out the Raiders at home in what will likely also be a first-round BAA playoff matchup.

The Crusaders stormed out to an early 10-2 lead; however, Walkerton battled back to take a slim 23-22 advantage heading into halftime.  In a low scoring third quarter, the Raiders held SHHS to just one point and were able to increase their lead to 29-23 heading into the final frame --- which is where things seemingly fell apart.

Four consecutive WDSS turnovers (and four consecutive scores for Sacred Heart off those turnovers) was the major difference as the Crusaders would go on to the victory.  Breann Glasier and Becky Busby combined for 25 Sacred Heart points, while Becky McTeer had 15 in the loss for Walkerton.

Kincardine 52, Saugeen 20
Marissa Jolley had 14 points in the win as the KDSS Knights continued their winning ways.

BAA South: Junior

Saugeen DSS 23, Kincardine 20
SDSS:  Kelly Gribbons 9

Sacred Heart over Walkerton
Although a score was not available at post time, the SHHS Crusaders won handily in this one --- getting points from everyone on their roster in the process.
