It's better than nothing.
Four WCSSAA public high schools in both the junior and senior leagues will compete in a "round-robin CWOSSA qualifying tournament" for the right to represent WCSSAA at CWOSSA.
In junior, SJAM, Grand River, WCI (AAAA) and KCI (AAA) have confirmed entries, while in senior, Bluevale, Eastwood, WCI and Grand River (all AAAA) are hitting the hardwood.
Noticeably missing are a few preseason favourites, including Cameron Heights (junior & senior), Galt Collegiate (senior), and Huron Heights (senior).
I've been told that the top 2 "AAAA" teams after the tournament will be advancing to the CWOSSA tournament, although this has not yet been officially confirmed.
Games start on Thursday, February 14th, with Grand River at Eastwood and WCI at Bluevale senior games, and WCI at SJAM and Grand River at KCI junior contests.
