Today in D8 action.....
One huge game between the St. David Celtics (4-4) and the Monsignor Doyle Mustangs (3-4).
The winner will likely earn themselves the 3rd overall seed in the D8 playoffs and, quite possibly, a CWOSSA "AAA" berth along with it.
The Mustangs burst onto the scene back in December by upsetting the Celtics at St. David. At least, it seemed like an upset at the time. Recent close games against the St. Mary's Eagles and Resurrection Phoenix have proven that Doyle is for real.
The Celtics (after today) will have St. Benedict left on their schedule. Doyle will play at Rockway and will battle St. Mary's at home.
To put things simply, whoever wins today will essentially clinch the 3rd spot and be on the inside track for the AAA berth.
I think the Celtics would like to exact some revenge here. I'll take them on the road by 4.

The Saints were competitive in the last game, dropping a 52-38 decision to the Eagles. I think St. Mary's wins here, but they must avoid looking ahead to Wednesday's game with Resurrection.
