Alumni Watch: Great Performances from this Past Week

A few notable performances by some CWOSSA grads......

Imad Qahwash (G/Central Arkansas - NCAA D1) --- Qahwash registered his first career NCAA double-double, putting in 16 points and grabbing 12 'boards in the Bears 76-74 loss to Texas State on Saturday. The 16 points was also a career high, eclipsing the 14 points he scored 3 nights earlier against Stephen F. Austin.

Bryson Johnson (G/Bucknell - NCAA D1) --- Johnson continues to shoot the ball well in his freshman campaign. He has scored 18 (Navy), 16 (American U) and 16 (Holy Cross) in his last 3 --- but he has done so in efficient fashion. He has been shooting 53.6% from the floor, 47.6% from three point land, and 91% from the line (10/11) in those 3 games.

May Kotsopoulos (G/Vermont - NCAA D1) --- The WCI grad drilled 5 three-pointers and 22 points in all during a 76-43 rout over America East foe Binghamton U. To top off her stat line, she added 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and one block.

Cam McIntyre (G/Waterloo - CIS) --- The former KCI star put home 23 points as the Warriors upset the #7 Windsor Lancers on the road. Meanwhile, fellow Warrior.....

David Burnett (G/Waterloo - CIS) ---- had a balanced stat line in UW's victory over Windsor (6 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists). He added 17 points against Guelph over the weekend. Burnett is UW's career leader in assists with 566 and counting.

Evan Schwantz (C/Laurier - CIS) ---- The CCVI grad scored 5 points in 10 minutes of action, including just his second three-pointer of the year. It was a timely one, however, and helped the Hawks upset the Lakehead Thunderwolves, currently the #1 team in the OUA West division.

Danny McCarthy (G/Guelph - CIS) ---- Another CCVI grad, McCarthy scored 18 points in the Gryphs' 68-58 victory over the Waterloo Warriors on Saturday afternoon.

Andy Campbell (G/Fanshawe - OCAA) --- The Waterloo St. David product scored 24 points in Fanshawe's 99-67 blowout of Lambton College. Another area product, Will Bradbury (FHCI) scored 11 points in the win.
