WCSSAA Senior: Teny's 28 Helps Rens Outlast Knights in Overtime

Nyamuoch Teny poured in 28 points, and the Grand River Renegades remained as one of the three undefeated WCSSAA Senior Girls teams following a 48-40 overtime win over Bluevale.

Tijana Abadzic added 6 for the Rens, while Maddy Weber (11) and Rachael Hamm (10) were both in double figures for the Knights, who are now 2-2 but just could easily have been 4-0 given that their other loss was a 1-point defeat to the WCI Vikings.

In other action yesterday:

WODSS 43, Glenview Park 30
Emily Glendinning was at it again on Tuesday, pouring in 29 points as the Crusaders picked up their first WCSSAA win of the season.  Justina Meneses had 4 more for WO; Chudear Oyual had 12 and Darcy Simmons 7 for the Panthers.

Galt 32, Eastwood 12
The Ghosts took care of the Rebels on the road to earn their first win of the season (1-3).  Brittany Gergely was the top Galt scorer, putting home 13 points; Shelby Thompson added 7.  Ashley Legue and Kezia Bernard had 3 each for the Rebs.

SJAM 47, Jacob Hespeler 35
In a battle between two undefeated teams, Grade 10 F/C Kate Moran poured in 21 points to help pace the SJAM Highlanders to a 12-point victory.  Milica Koprivica added 10 for the 'Landers, while Shianne Riggan (15) and Kendra Dennis (14) were the top Hawks.

Elmira 44, Forest Hts. 16
Nicole Cressman had 18 and Karley Sider 7 for the Lancers, who won for the first time on Tuesday.  Des Chanthaboury and Sam Spurling had 7 apiece for FHCI.

Cameron Hts. 44, Huron Hts. 21
Nina Farkic had 14 for the Gaels, and Sam Smith was also in double-figures with 10 to lead the Gaels to their 4th straight win to start the season.  Brielle Guttensohn had 6 for the Huskies.

WCI 42, KCI 33
WCI featured a balanced attack on Tuesday, with Mackenzie Obermeyer (10), Victoria Giguere (9) and Ramla Abdalla (8) contributing in the win.  Olivia Mickie had 11 and Alia Hazineh 7 for the Raiders.
