The #9 KCI Raiders suffered their first postseason defeat this morning at the hands of #2 seeded Louis Riel of Ottawa (Gloucester).

The Raiders led after the first quarter, but Louis Riel used a 43-17 run over the second and third frames to put the game away en route to a 67-44 win.

KCI is currently playing in the bronze medal game against the host school, #5 Regina Mundi of London.

Meanwhile, the St. John's Eagles of Brantford were up against the wall during their battle with #5 St. Mary's CSS of Hamilton at Cathedral this morning. The Eagles fell behind as St. Mary's used a 13-5 third quarter run to take a 40-37 lead heading to the fourth. However, the experience of the Eagles shone through down the stretch and they came away with a 51-43 victory. Kayla Santilli was sensational with 21 points for St. John's. The Eagles now advance to battle #2 Burlington Notre Dame in the gold medal game (8:00pm, Cathedral High School in Hamilton). Good luck St. John's!

Up in Belleville at AA action, the Bishop Macdonnell Celtics had no troubles dispatching the fifth-seeded LaSalle Black Knights of Kingston.
