Resurrection 48, St. Benedict 31
In a big game between two clubs that entered the contest at 1-2, the Phoenix get a much-needed victory to even up their record on the year. They were able to overcome a 19-point performance by SBCSS' scoring star Andrea Zapanza in the process. Leading the way for the Phoenix in this one were Megan Robinson and Janelle Santi with 12 each.
St. Mary's 52, Rockway 8
It continues to be a tough battle for the Rockway Flames --- a year after a D8 semifinal appearance, the Flames have a revamped roster this year and have started out 0-4, losing by an average of 43 points a contest. That said, they are an "A" school playing in a league of "AAA/AAAA" clubs, so by the same token you can appreciate what they're up against.
Alysha Hergott (10) and Emily Webber (6) led the way for the Eagles, as their roster saw plenty of floor time. Alex Hood scored 6 of RMC's 8 points.
