WCSSAA Junior: Thursday Results - Favourites Hold Serve

The favourites essentially held serve on Thursday afternoon in the WCSSAA junior boys' league, with all of the top teams registering (for the most part) decisive wins.

Here are your results:

Preston 43, WODSS 28
Preston moved above the .500 mark with a home win against W-O.  Tyler Gibner was the lone player in double figures, as he scored 10 for PHS, with teammate Ryan Maksymyk adding 8.  Kale Bryant (9), Garner Matthews (5) and Michael Potworka (5) led the way for the Crusaders.

Cameron Heights 58, Huron Heights 41
The Gaels stayed undefeated thanks in part to 16 from Sasha Simic and 13 from Nikola Trninic.  Arshid Babury poured in a game-high 23 for Huron Heights, while Ahmed Radi added 12.

Forest Heights 59, KCI 51
Despite 30 points from KCI's Stefan Simic, the Raiders fell just a bit short on the road on Thursday.  Phillip Dixon added 6 for KCI, while FHCI was led by a big 22-point effort from Elijah Callendar and 13 from Stefan Despotovic.

Eastwood 54, Glenview Park 11
Tre Nicholson and Wadah Abdellah had 11 each as ECI rolled over winless Glenview.  Tyrell Wolf had 4 for the Panthers.

Grand River 58, Southwood 27
No trouble for the Rens staying undefeated at home --- Adi Trtovac had 16 and Carlos Cruz 9 on Thursday for them.  Colton Quigley had 12 for Southwood, with Chad Dempster adding 5.

SJAM 56, Elmira 29
The 'Landers still haven't lost a game on the court this WCSSAA season, as Brett Parrott's 15 and Jan Willem Scheele's 11 powered them to victory on Thursday.  Alex Weber had 10 and Jordan Frey 4 for EDSS.

WCI 62, Galt 40
Nick Johnny poured in a game-high 24 for the Vikes as they continue to keep pace with the league leaders.  Ivan Bilandzic added 12 for WCI, with Etai Mizrahi also in double figures with 10.  TJ Lall netted 23 for the Ghosts, with Lazar Stevanovic adding 9.
