The Forest Heights Trojans had two free throws with no time on the clock in a tied game and still technically could have lost in regulation.
Confused? Don't be.
In an exciting tourney final at FHCI, the Trojans were able to hold off the St. Christopher (Sarnia) Cyclones by a 75-74 final. This marked FHCI's second victory over the top team from Sarnia this season.

In an exciting tourney final at FHCI, the Trojans were able to hold off the St. Christopher (Sarnia) Cyclones by a 75-74 final. This marked FHCI's second victory over the top team from Sarnia this season.
Also of note --- the Cyclones came within a bucket of knocking off Toronto's Mother Teresa HS earlier this year.
The final was a back and forth game all the way to the fourth quarter. Early in the fourth, starting centre Nienkel Paljola had a muscle spasm and the Cyclones went on a 10 point run. However, St. Chris' PG Mike Rocca (his older brother, Joe, is listed as the #5 guard in Ontario) fouled out and with 3:00 to play, the Trojans turned it on.
Javon Masters hit THREE three-pointers to tie the game with under 1:00 left. St. Chris then had possession with time winding down, but turned it over to the Trojans with just :04 on the clock.
Forest Heights' Juwan Miller turned that steal into a floater at the buzzer where he was fouled. HOWEVER, a Forest Heights player ran onto the court in celebration and was promptly assessed a technical foul.
So, the tournament came down to a free-throw shooting contest. Miller made both FTs, while St. Chris made the first and missed the second.......giving the Trojans the 1-point win.
Miller was named tournament MVP by connecting for 28 points in the final including 6 threes. Mike Rocca had 27 for St. Chris before fouling out and was also an all-star. Other Trojan all stars included Paljola (8 points + solid defense/rebounding) and Masters (21 points/4 threes).

The Trojans have now won all three tournaments they have entered and have only two losses on the season (WCI & Bishop Mac).
