A draw is yet to be announced, however, the field has been confirmed for the 33rd annual Kennedy Ontario Invitational: Junior Boys Invitational Basketball Tournament in Hamilton, also known as the "All-Catholic" tournament.
Three CWOSSA junior teams have made the field of 16:
Bishop Macdonell (Guelph - D10)
Resurrection (Kitchener - D8)
St. Mary's (Kitchener - D8)
Last year, CWOSSA also had three reps (St. Mary's, Resurrection, and St. John's) and the two D8 schools provided some of the better results that CWOSSA had seen in some time.
St. Mary's actually made the final of this prestigious tournament by knocking off Notre Dame (Welland), St. Thomas More (Hamilton) and Holy Trinity (Oakville). They lost to Brampton D'Youville (arguably one of the best teams in the province last year) by 12 points in the final.
The Resurrection Phoenix were semifinalists --- they defeated Vaughan Brebeuf in the first round and Hamilton Cathedral in the second round before falling to D'Youville in the semis by 12 points.
The St. John's (Brantford) Green Eagles also participated with a very young roster last year, and went 0-2.
Teams that are confirmed this year include:
4 Hamilton Invitations:
Bishop Tonnos
Cathedral
St. Thomas More
Cardinal Newman
12 At Large Invitations:
Bishop Macdonell (Guelph) --- undefeated in D10 play
