Consolation Final: Philip Pocock (Mississauga) 55, Waterloo CI 52
In a very exciting consolation final, the Philip Pocock Pirates (Mississauga) came from behind to defeat the WCI Vikings 55-52.
The Pirates actually trailed by 7 points with around 3:00 to play, but gradually clawed back as WCI took a couple of quick shots and missed. Despite trailing by 4 with 1:00 to go, a quick three and a turnover (resulting in a Pocock layup) gave the Pirates the lead for good.
For Pocock, Kevin Sarimento and Jonathan Cruz each had 15 points. Malcolm Piazza was the top Viking with 13.
