Battle for the 12th Spot (Remaining 3 Games)
WODSS: Huron Hts, ECI, WCI
ECI: KCI, WODSS, SJAM
EDSS: BCI, GCI, GPSS
GPSS: FHCI, PHS, EDSS
Slight edge to WODSS & EDSS based upon the opponents. Most of those teams have beaten each other, so we'll cross the tiebreaker bridge when we get there.
Battle for 4th and first-round bye (Remaining 3 Games)
SSS: WCI, JHSS, HHHS (2-1 or 3-0)
KCI: ECI, HHHS, JHSS (should go 3-0)
FHCI: GPSS, CHCI, BCI (1-2 or 2-1)
....definite edge to KCI. They've also beaten SSS so if both teams go 3-0 (and FHCI drops one of their games), KCI would take 4th.

In the not too unlikely scenario that SJAM and WCI both finish 11-1, which team has the advantge in the tie breakers? I'm thinking that whichever team can put off facing BCI until the finals has the best odds of going all the way.
ReplyDeleteActually, SJAM and WCI will play each other in league play after the exam break (February 9th) --- so thankfully won't have to worry about a tiebreaker there.
ReplyDeleteWCI also has a tough game against SSS, but even if they lost that they could still take 2nd place with a win over SJAM.
Of course, Southwood is "in the mix" as well. If they can beat WCI tomorrow, they have two 'relatively easy' games to finish up in JHSS & HHHS.
....my SSS comment refers to the fact that if they beat WCI (and WCI loses to SJAM), SSS could vault over WCI for 3rd if the teams end up tied.
