Just a quick update on this senior tournament, which was held in London over the weekend.
The Henry Carr Crusaders, the current #2 team in the province, bested another "top 10" team, London's HB Beal, by 12 points in the championship final.
Beal blasted SJAM (Waterloo) in the quarterfinals by a 79-27 final. Ben Reyhani did not play for SJAM, who took out Windsor's Holy Names by 7 with Reyhani in the lineup. The 'Landers had a first round bye after being seeded #6 overall in the 24-team tournament.
Meanwhile, the WCI Vikings went 3-1 overall with their lone loss being in the second round against Henry Carr, 73-50 (Jacob Ranton, 16). The Vikings defeated Chatham Ursuline (65-56, Dani Elgadi - 21 PTS/15 REB); London Oakridge 57-32 (Ranton & Elgadi - 11 each); and London Saunders 52-20 (Ranton - 16 PTS).
