YTD: 36-10Two games yesterday, and no surprises in either one as WCI handled Southwood while fellow Waterloo school SJAM took care of business on the road at Jacob Hespeler.
The Vikes received 12 from Etai Mizrahi and 11 from Nick Johnny in their 62-25 win over Southwood. David Gutschin was the lone Sabre in double-figures, with 10.
A balanced SJAM scoring attack saw Nedim Hodzic (17), Brett Parrott (16) and Simon Petrov (16) lead the Highlanders to a 73-47 win over the Hespeler Hawks. Shawn Thompson had 17 and Chad Dempster 13 for JHSS.
Bluevale CI also picked up a "bye win" over Elmira.

The Raiders can't take the Sabres lightly, but I expected them to big up a big win here to help them in the logjam with the top half of the teams in the WCSSAA league.
Huron Heights (3-4) at SJAM (6-1)
My Pick: SJAM by 21
It's been a busy few days for the SJAM Highlanders, but I look for them to pick up yet another win, this one at home.
Preston (2-5) at Jacob Hespeler (0-7)
My Pick: PHS by 5
Toss-up game here, but the improving Preston Panthers look like they should be able to sneak past the Hespeler Hawks, even on the road.
Forest Heights (2-5) at Grand River (6-1)
My Pick: GRCI by 28
The Rens will take another step towards a first-round bye with a win here today.
Cameron Heights (6-1) at Bluevale (3-5)
My Pick: CHCI by 24
After a couple losses to WCSSAA teams over the past week, I look for the CHCI Gaels to get back on track here against Bluevale.
Glenview Park (5-2) at Galt (5-2)
My Pick: Galt by 12
Two of the "darkhorses" in the WCSSAA league square off today.....and two of WCSSAA's top scorers, with Sean Davidson (GPSS) and TJ Lall (Galt). I'll go with the Ghosts who seem to be on the upswing after capturing the SBCSS consolation title this past weekend.
Eastwood (5-2) at WCI (4-3)
My Pick: ECI by 9
If the Rebels can play like they were playing on the weekend, they should be able to win this one. Pretty important game here for both teams with regards to playoff positioning.
