WCSSAA Senior: Perfect Day....Sort Of

Well, I didn't get a pick wrong in WCSSAA play yesterday.

Then again, I didn't get "all of them" right --- having somehow omitted a pick for the Huron Heights - Galt CI game.  I would have taken the Ghosts in that one, but it won't count in the official recordkeeping.

Anyways, that GCI-HHSS game turned out to be possibly the game of the day, with the Ghosts surviving at home by a 72-64 score.  TJ Lall poured in 38 points in that one, while Scott Holton added 10 more for the Ghosts.

Nathaniel Ernst-Finnie (17) and Darcy Jacobs (14) topped the Huron scoresheet.

In other games yesterday:

SJAM 56, Glenview Park 38
My Pick:  SJAM by 14
Scoring details weren't immediately made available, but the 'Landers retained sole possession of first place (until today, anyways) with the win.

KCI 74, Bluevale 54
My Pick:  KCI by 8
Stefan Simic poured in 23 to lead KCI to an important victory in this one.  Savo Krajisnik was the top Knight on the day, with a 22-point performance.

WCI 56, Preston 40
My Pick:  WCI by 23
Nick Johnny had a strong outing for the Vikes yesterday, pouring in 27 points, while Nikola Despotovic and Etai Mizrahi each added 8.  Lucas Moffitt (18) and Tanner Derjugin (10) led the way for Preston.

Cameron Heights 68, Southwood 38
My Pick:  CHCI by 32
Jason Thompson (13) and Sasha Simic (11) paced a balanced Gael attack in their win over Southwood.  Sean Wyse had a game-high 16 for the Sabres, with David Gutschon adding 6.

Forest Hts. 45, Jacob Hespeler 42
My Pick:  FHCI by 9
Rakesh Arjun scored 12 and Mo Alhares added 8 as the Trojans picked up a win that should help to solidify a playoff berth.  Chad Dempster had 10 to lead the Hawks.

Bye Wins:  Eastwood, Grand River
