Back from the Remembrance Day ceremonies here in Cambridge, and we'll get started with today's posts by talking about the D10 semifinals which went down last night. Here's the rundown:
Senior
(1) Centre Wellington 60, (5) Lourdes 41
The Falcons' dynamic tandem of forward Jaime Janssen (24) and guard Erica McFadden (14) again had a dominant effort on Thursday as the Falcons look to repeat as D10 champs. Hannah Pearsall scored 15 and Madison Vetteretto 7 for Lourdes.
(3) JF Ross 50, (2) Bishop Mac 48
I had a feeling this might be a very tight game and indeed it was, with the Royals squeaking out a 2-point win. Sydney Resch netted 18 and Julia Robertson 15 in the win for Ross, while Andrea Priamo had her way on the interior for BMac with 18. Rebecca Keil added 13 for the Celts.
Junior
(1) St. James 57, (5) Centennial 37
The Lions had three players in double figures --- Chelsey Gazzola (13), Nastassja Herriot (12) and Keely McVicar (10) in their semifinal triumph. Emma Cain led all scorers with 16 for CCVI, while Lexi Tibbets added 5.
(2) Lourdes 37, (3) Bishop Mac 31
