My Pick:  RCSS by 15

Big news from this game is that one of St. Benedict's key players, Brooke Wanklin, suffered a bad ankle injury in Monday's game and is out for this one.  Without her offensive contributions, it will be difficult for the Saints to top the Phoenix, especially on the road.

(2) St. Mary's vs (3) St. David

Season Series:  1-1 (SD 32-28, SM 27-19)

My Pick:  SMHS by 5

Most games between the top four teams in D8 have been close, and this one should be no exception.  The Eagles, however, have been improving throughout the year and I look for them to advance to the D8 finals with a win here today.

Senior

(1) St. Mary's vs. (4) Mons. Doyle 

Season Series:  SMHS 2-0 (47-8, 48-20)

My Pick:  SMHS by 37

The Eagles are decisive favourites in this one, and have the added motivation of hosting the D8 finals should they be victorious today (highest seed hosts).

(2) Resurrection vs. (3) St. Benedict

Season Series:  RCSS 2-0 (50-40, 36-28 OT)

My Pick:  RCSS by 4

Should be another tight one between these squads (essentially a coin-flip), but I think the veteran experience on the Phoenix (Jacqui Rodrigues, Janelle Santi) will help them pull out a hard-fought win at home.
