Tuesday's results went generally as I anticipated they might, but there's no time to pat myself on the back as there's a couple more games already on the schedule for today.
Senior
CWDHS 26, Orangeville 17
My Pick: CWDHS
A low-scoring affair as the defending D10 champs will certainly be a new-look squad this season. Chloe Trapp had 10 in the win for the Falcons, while Claire Fenton had 11 for ODSS.
St. James 51, Centennial 26
My Pick: STJ
It looks as though the Lions will be a very competitive squad in the D10 league this year; they started out with a strong road performance at Centennial. Chelsey Gazzola (15) and Ashley Benham (13) were both in double-figures for the Lions; Lexi Tibbetts (8) and Hannah Newman (4) topped the CCVI scoring.
Bishop Mac 45, Guelph CVI 19
The Celtics featured a balanced attack in this road win against the Gaels --- Rebecca Morris (12), Andrea Priamo (11) and Katie Labron (11) were all in double-figures. Katie Strongman netted 6 and Jamie Young had 5 for GCVI.
Lourdes defeated JF Ross
(Will update with scoring details when available)
Wednesday Picks
Bishop Mac @ St. James
My Pick: STJ by 8
Should actually be a pretty interesting battle between 2 of Guelph's 3 Catholic High Schools --- the Lions have been solid early plus are at home so I'll give them the edge here.
Orangeville @ Lourdes
My Pick: OLOL by 25
The Crusaders should improve to 2-0 today at the expense of the ODSS Bears.
