Crusaders, Celtics Capture "AA" Titles

Two hometown Guelph teams took home the hardware at the "AA" championships yesterday evening in Guelph.

In the senior final, it will be the Lourdes Crusaders representing CWOSSA at OFSAA, after a 39-26 victory over Owen Sound.

Ben King led Lourdes with 10 points, while Mike Finoro and Anthony Joaquim added 8.

Tyler Douglas had a game high 11 for OSCVI.

Meanwhile, the Bishop Mac Celtics, arguably the best junior team in all of CWOSSA, took the junior title with a 63-48 victory over Owen Sound.

Jesse Kendall netted a game-high 25 for Bishop Mac, while Owen Brombal had 16.  The Falcons were led by Nathan Curry and Laughlin Elder, who had 16 each.
