Seeking some competition from the GTA area, the JF Ross Royals competed in the D'Youville (Brampton) junior boys tournament this past weekend.
The Royals were matched up with Henry Carr (#1 junior boys team in the GTA) and Lincoln Alexander of Mississauga in their 3-team pool.
JFR got off to a nice start, handling Lincoln Alexander 52-28 in their opening game; Mo Hussien had 9 to lead a balanced Ross attack.
In their second outing, the Crusaders of Henry Carr were too much for Ross as they cruised to a 91-43 win. Vlad Vamanu had 11 for the Royals.
The second-place finish in the pool advanced Ross to a "final four" grouping with the other second place finishers; unfortunately, they came up on the short end against Brampton St. Augustine (score/details unavailable from source).
