Three of CWOSSA's top 6 teams (Resurrection, JF Ross and North Park) will be in action this coming weekend in Hamilton at the 33rd annual Chancellor Invitational (FYI - the other 3 will be partaking locally at the Knights-Vikes classic).
In the tournament's opening game, the JF Ross Royals knocked off Oakville Loyola despite 33 points from Loyola's Rohan Boney ---- by a 74-70 final. Big time win for the Royals there.
North Park dropped their opener to Notre Dame (Burlington), one of the top teams this year in the GTA with D-1 (Columbia) signee Grant Mullins.
JF Ross will now play Catholic Central (London) in their second-round game (1st round winners play first round losers), while North Park will battle London Westminster later today.
Resurrection plays Corpus Christi (Burlington) in their opener, currently underway (noon start), and then will play either St. Theresa (Midland) or Cardinal Newman (Stoney Creek).
